Seems to me that the GY provides a little excitment/uncertainty. If the
body is needed to LR or resurrect, then combat which leaves the body in
the victor's hands or in the province's GY simply gives too much control.

The current situation requires you to either staff every GY you feel is
where your nobles might end up, or that you run over to it when you lose one.

Someone else might pop in and recover them--the loser, or someone who
happened to be there, or....

I like that uncertainty.

The biggest problem I see right now is that if LR requires the body, and
resurrect does too... why LR? Thus my suggestion of other costs--like an
NP to resurrect someone, etc.

OTOH, if LR can be done by close kin (or a priest stacked with a free
(not prisoner) kinsman) without the body, that does make LR useful.
HOwever it also means that a necromancer will find relatively little
material...

I don't quite think we're there yet.
