Hello everyone!

I'm new to Olympia (started turn 6) and this list (joined Friday), so I
should probably keep my big mouth shut and listen for a couple of weeks.
But I'm going to be foolish and speak out anyway.... :)

As someone else said, if you step out of your car to go into the grocery
store, there is the chance that someone else will sneak in and steal it
while you're shopping. GIVE/GET/BUY/SELL across 0-time locations seems
to be hiding a deeper issue -- there is no way to "protect" inner locations.
Even "garrison" won't work on inner locations.

This is silly. A noble should be able to say "You five soldiers stay here
and guard the ship until I get back". IM(NS)HO, GARRISON should be changed
to reflect that. Shouldn't be that hard to have "uncastled" garrisons, and
it would make ships & towers & such much safer.

I suggest that garrisons in money-making, nobleless special locations, e.g.
inns & castles hold the money that they gather and pay their expenses from
those earnings. Other garrisons would have to have gold GIVEn to them;
penniless garrisons would start deserting -- just like other hirelings.

"Uncastled" provincial garrisons shouldn't collect gold, otherwise there
would be almost no incentive to build castles. You would (of course) have
to have some way of turning an unpledged provincial garrison into the
normal money-making type.
