Player-contributed press

Greetings Olympians and a special hello to all Drassans.

If you are in the northwestern region of Olympia, please take a moment to look at our web household at: http://www.ip.pt/~ip231870/HoL.htm

It includes a map of the Kingdom of Cragstan and the surrounding area as well as important information for anyone wishing to visit our territory.

Live long and prosper, Lord Ralek Arkham Speaker for the House of Lords Kingdom of Cragstan

As the smiling young couple walked out hand-in-hand, assured that there first child would be a son, Exedor hung his head and stared at the rough surface of the table before him, totally exhausted. A soft knock interrupted his reverie. Another kid with a perpetually runny nose, he thought.

"Our Lordship requires you aboard the Chesapeake." Exedor looked up into Roald's smile. "You've done enough here, lad. Try as you might, you will never heal all the ills or answer all the questions. As your name spreads, they line up faster than you can see them. And our Lordship requires you."

Exedor gazed out the door at the peasants lined in the alley. With a sigh, he stood as Roald closed and latched the door. ------- Editor's Note (a source of amusement for the older player and instruction for the younger): Never issue USE 802 without a maximum number of days to execute when in a CIV-7 city.

Well Well my poorly informed Seeker in Shadow. IMHO if you were to step out of the shadow you may see things more clearly. But alas, as is my nature I have never turned down the needy weather it's physical help they seek or mental. In that vain I will happily assist you in your time of confusion and dismay. You Say:

>In my travels I have heard many things that seem to be >said by Lord Foul either maligning or warning against >the entity called Eagle.

Seem to be said by? Now that in itself is a very very interesting way of putting it. But I must admit it does my ego well to hear the very Olympian winds carry my name from land to land and tavern to tavern.

>What is it that Lord Foul so distrusts in this Eagle, >and why?

Well I would be more than happy to discuss those matters with you in private all you need to do is drop me an message. As I have enough respect even for those Olympians I don't trust not to discuss personal opinions and dirty laundry in a public forum. I hope you can understand this stance.

>And why should I believe someone named "Foul" >by his own tongue?

From that question it is obvious you have never dealt with me on a personal level. Otherwise you would understand my Name is the Supreme Oxymoron. But I have never asked any to believe me or my ramblings but only to keep their eyes open and not to believe all they hear.

>And if Foul is against Eagle, who is he for?

Well I thought who I was for was public knowledge but if you must know I am an extremely proud RIMMON MUSKETEER and live by the creed "One for All and All for One".

>And how does this "Eagle" feel about Foul?

I think that last question is one that must be answered by the Exalted Lord Cendage himself. I do look forward to sitting down and having an ale with you Seeker. You know how to find me...

-- Lord Foul [4172]

In need of more troops or a second flank? How about an armed escort through hostile wilderness or dangerous waters? Then contact "The Brotherhood of the Red God" (The BoRG), and for a modest fee we can send an escort by caravan on land or via ship in dangerous waters. In general we are swords for hire and for the right price, will attack almost any target. Please visit our web site at www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/1843/borg.html or contact us at asgardian@bigfoot.com

May the Red God smile upon you

It is better ro remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt.

Rumors

Now, rash human...you shall learn what it means to challenge one who had= been the mighty herald of Galactus himself! Long enough have I toyed with= you!!The time has come to end this senseless travesty!!

-The Silver Surfer, former herald of Galactus, now banished to roam Olympia.

It is not glorious to die in battle. It is glorious to kill the other guy in battle. And it is even more glorious to boast of it afterwards.

The Harn Confederacy attacks the Lords of the Crown; they are no more. The Inner Circle follows suit; shortly they will be no more. PLATO inevitably became involved; they're losing.

There's a pattern emerging. Will the Musketeers follow suit? Will they attack the Lords of the Crown and will they follow the same path as their aggressive predecessors?

Yes, you didn't REALLY think Sir Codric conceived a son all by himself, did you? I mean, all that riding on horseback in tight armor - not very good for the little Codrickers-to-be, if you know what I mean. You might not think of yourself as a family man now, but think about the future!

Political spin is very overrated

As the stories from other dimensions were told. But here in Olympia did they hold? Keep in mind a lesson learned, of paradox and those who have been burned. For there Lord Bane was good. But here, Evil and misunderstood. As foul as Lord Foul may sound, Just ask those who have been around.

Travel Warning***** The straits of Camaris west of Yellowleaf are blocked by magical barriers. Please follow the detour signs via Rimmon, Greyfell, Drassa and Port Auronos. We apologise for the closure due to annual maintenance. The Straits should be reopened around turn 203 budgets and PLATO permitting.

Another community announcement from the Local Olympia Transport Commission.

Potholes R Us

so the Lords have two of the Safe Havens of Olympia under their control. Harn and Yellowleaf are both claimed by the iron fist of the Lords. I'm taking 3-1 odds on Rimmon and 5-1 on Port Auronos for the next targets. Greyfell is 50-1 and Drassa the outside chance 1000-1. Be quick and place your bets. Book closes soon.

Another of the Bandit Lords castles have fallen. How long can they hold out against the South Ossicus Alliance?

The world above me rumbles. The great northern power reveals it's secret ties. Who knew the Rimmon Muskateers were PLATO's lackeys? Soon thier secret plots will be revealed.
