Player-contributed press

The last two Times have had postings from myself and the House of Lords concerning recent events along the Provinian Eastern shores. It started because I felt a "bloodless" object lesson was necessary.

The object of this lesson: Aside from TIBs holdings, nearly the rest of Provinia is in one war or another. If you are traveling in areas on Southern, Western, or Eastern Provinia it is reccomended that you make both sides of the conflict aware of you and your nuetral status. Accidents happen, such as the attack on Glyn Dwr [6456] and Eoghan [9819] in Boden City on turn 102. They had been scouting Inner City coastal regions earlier, and then sailed straight into a battlezone concurrently with a couple of Lords of the Crown ships. That coincidence was fatal for them.

By no means do I wish to discourage those who wish to explore the world of Olympia. Understand that there are those of us who archive turns and use "Find text" commands to review history of those we encounter. Making sure your Explorers don't get on someone's "potential enemy" list is, in reality, your own responsibility.

I wish to thank the House of Lords for their participation in this "Olympian Morality Play". I did not get prior approval from the HOL to include them in it. I apologize if as a result of this, anyone believes that there is any other "oneness" between they and the Lords of the Crown than the inclusion of the word "Lords" in the name of their alliances. I stand convinced of the nuetrality of the House of Lords. They have never demonstrated anything else.

Second Chance for the ICLF

Greetings Fellow Olympians

I was surfing the G-2 list "altough just the thought of the flame wars I might encounter there sends chills down my spine". When I found the below message posted by some guy called Mordekai. It was ao funny I fell on the floor dying of laughter. I guess it's because the funniest things are usally true. I thought you all might get a laugh out of it too.

Maybe we could have a special list for flames. We could call it the Lords list.

Or maybe we could set up a chat room and have special flaming sessions live once a week. We could have special events like

Oleg vs Capricorn - Why you shouldn't get your NP's back

Oleg vs Dragon Lord - How to turn any thread into a flame war

Silas vs Lord Foul - To backstab or not to backstab

Dragon Lord vs Greg - Bug or Feature??

ICLF and Mordekai - Guerrila tactics for the militarily challenged

BoRG vs Lords - Who has sunk the most ships and do ones on the beach count

Seehawk vs Everyone - Taking the High Moral Ground for beginners

Cendage vs anybody - How to stick your nose into something that is none of your bussines and keep the thread going for another week (Special guest appearance by Seehawk)
