The site contains much of the information plus a few new wrinkles.

Good Luck and Good Day, Eric the Seehawk TIB Alliance

-- Lords of Hammerhill [gz2]

Fellow Olympians, By now you all no doubt know of the Declaration of War issued by the Rimmon Musketeers against the Lords of the Crown. TIB has been asked, both publicly and privately, what our position on this issue is. It is as follows:

We do not consider this declaration to mark the beginning of a new war, but instead to continue and inflame an ongoing war. As such, our public and private stance on this "new" war is actually a continuation of our stance on the ongoing Yellowleaf conflict and remains unchanged. Namely, that this war was started for the wrong reasons and that both sides have shown poor judgement both in the way they have instigated, inflamed and continued the conflict and in their refusal to accept reasonable offerings of peace from all sides.

Recent posts to the g2 list by Ming the Merciless of Plato have confirmed a long believed suspicion that Plato did attack nobles claiming to be newbies in the war with The New Empire while publicly claiming the protection of newbies as their cause. The attack on Sir Codric was the catalyst that set this war into motion. It is the ultimate irony that Plato's arch-nemesis was created by their own short-sightedness.

The attacks by Plato, Harn Alliance, Inner Circle and now the Rimmon Musketeers were launced against the LotC out of a sense of fear, dislike and misunderstandings towards the LotC. To the best of our knowledge, none of the above stated alliances have ever claimed that LotC broke a treaty or attacked a noble prior to their various declarations of war. The most cited reason for attacking LotC? Fear, and a personal dislike for Sir Codric.

LotC are not totally blameless in this conflict. Sir Codric and the other Lords can be, at times, difficult to deal with. And while Codric claimed to Plato all those many years ago to be a newbie with 125 men, one must wonder about the veracity of such a claim. There is also the continued spectre of Eagle Alliance hanging over LotC like a shadow. The Musketeers, and others, have charged that Eagle has supplied troops, supplies, gold and magical support to LotC in the war. Such secret campaigns naturally foster mis-trust toward LotC & Eagle and serves to fan the flames of war rather than to douse them.

In the end, many are to blame, and because of that, there are too many people that must come to their senses for this conflict to end. Alas, that does not appear likely to happen. TIB continues to maintain the position that as long as this war is contained in the Yellowleaf region and does not spread to a point that it negatively effects TIB and our holdings we will stay on the sidelines and as silent as my nosy nature allows. We do however ask that each faction involved in this conflict reflect on just how, if at all, it and it's parent alliance have been wronged by their proclaimed enemy. And further ask themselves if that wrong is great enough to inflict an even greater wrong on another and to risk the total destruction of your own faction and all that it has accomplished.

May the Hand Keep and Protect you all. TIB ALLIANCE

-- Lords of Hammerhill [gz2]

SWAN SONG FROM THE INNER CIRCLE

We who are about to die, salute you.

We salute PLATO, for their normal aplomb. Despite the recent verbal fencing, it was viewed by us that they played their game and didn't give a gnat's whisker what anyone thought about it. When it would have been politically expediant for them to sit out the war and watch their neighbors die, they came out and fought. It may have signed your death warrent, but we thank you.

We salute the Rimmon Musketeers, who after seeing the truth, belatedly threw their lot in with the Freedom Fighters on Provinia.

We salute those of Harn that fought to the death. We cannot enoble your cause, but we do enoble your spirit.

We salute our killers, the Lords of the Crown. They have fought an honorable war, a nearly flawless campaign. And are now poised to wipe our small colony off the face of Olympia.

Indeed, one of their maneuvers showed intelligence, in both senses of the word, that left us amazed. Still, there was luck involved...if the weather had gone the other way, or they had missed our cavalry instead of catching it by just a day, then things might have gone quite differently. We'll admit, as well, that we've made our share of mistakes.

We won't descend at this point to going back to the old, petty arguments about who started what and who broke which treaty. We could rehash our side one more time, on the chance that some aren't sick of the argument, and they could go over their side. That's all ancient history now, and it's unlikely that anybody could change anybody else's minds anyhow. Let's just say that, as in all the best wars, both sides believed they had a just cause, and leave it at that.

As to those elsewhere on other continents who have encouraged this conflict from afar: what have you accomplished? You have turned a superior organization into a Military Juggernaught. You have, in fact, turned the Lords of the Crown into the AOO of g2. We do not invoke the AOO as an Evil Empire. We invoke its name in awe and splendor. Here is an alliance with interior lines of communication. Here is an alliance that wields a mailed fist. Here is an alliance that has the _will_ to use that fist. And here is an alliance that has, at its core, a group of leaders that work together far more efficiantly than any other on the face of Olympia.

Now, to the nations of the world, we leave a challenge. Who can stop them? Hide in your holes. Cower on your islands. When the Lords want what you've got, they will come and take it. They deserve it. They have the will to win!

Now watch you, as we die, and see how you may die like men, you who quiver like mice.

---The Inner Circle

We may reappear when you least expect us!

-- The Illustrated Man [1010]

Greetings Fellow Olympians,

Last week there were a couple of posts referring to the SOA Bandit War. I believe it there some points that need to be made.

1. The region around Port Aurnos is considered a war zone. So all nobles who intend to travel from Aurnos and journey this region would be advised to contact me with respect to their travel plans.

2. The Bandit Castle, Castle Driftwood, which controls the Port Aurnos Region has been destroyed. However the SOA is not claiming this or any other land on Provinia. Nor are we supporting any other claim on this region other than the existing Bandit Claim.

3. Despite the continued success of the SOA against the Impressive Bandit Forces, the SOA would like to reaffirm our desire for peace and the entire campaign against the bandits at present is a defensive action.

4. Several ships have been seen sailing around Ossicus. These ships are presently being tracked by our mages. I would urge you to mail myself with your intentions for sailing in such proximity to ossicus. Stacks of fighters traveling our lands or sailing our waters without our concent shall be considered hostile. No further warnings shall be given to such ships who dishonour us by ignoring our requests.

The SOA would also like to show our respect to our counterpart in this war. The Bandits have proven themselves a worthwhile foe and they have behaved with honour. So often wars bring extreme emotions and opponents often resort to petty name calling. The Bandits and the SOA have refrained from such behaviour and some day if/when the war is over I am confident that both alliances will be able to share a barrel of ale in the local tavern.

Peace and Prosperity to all,

Lord Saggar Stormchaser, Speaker of the House, Southern Ossicus Alliance.

I would like to take this moment to thank all my many fans and detractors alike. You see long ago when I first arrived in this fair realm of Olympia via the city of Drassa my only goal was to become a household name in these realms. I believe all have heard the name Lord Foul either wispered or yelled. I know feel my goal has been acomplished. Thank you all. Now I guess it's time for a new goal...Hmmm...

-- Lord Foul [4172]

No wonder you b o r g punks rumor your threats. The ambush backfires. How nice to lose a pikeman and GAIN 47 crossbowmen and 20 pikes... 14 xbows, 3 horses, a scroll and a flock of abused sheep. Rumors

Who is this Chruch of Egraal? Where do they operate in what area; Location # Someone care to list their known operatives? Why is there so much mention of them every week? Why do people hate them so? State examples and reasons. Why do people like them? If someone gives a persuasive arguement for or against them, I will join one side for or against them. I do not want to visit some webpage. I want someone to convince me in this media. >>Jola

I am the Wraith. It's been a long time but nothing has happened of note. Finally! Some activity.

So many flanks, so many armies. It seems the Musketeers have opened up a can of worms.

Meanwhile, Eagle continues to blow its big horn. A lot of hot air there. We'll see if they do anything this time.

Plato speaks up too. Ming is the too proud winner of one lop-sided battle but he acts like he's taken on the entire world.

The Icy Black is silent. Where will they fall in? Hints are that they'll help their eastern neighbors.

Lord Maltar,

I'm asking you to please reconsider your declaration of war against the LotC.

Consider this:

The LotC have never initiated aggressions against anyone on Provinia, only responded to acts of aggression against LotC nobles/holdings. A fact not disputed by their enemies.

Once the SOA completes their mopping up actions around Port Aurnos, Eagle and their friends/allies will control 3/4 of Provinia.

Please, do not listen to the warmongers of IC/Plato. They are whispering poison into your ear. LotC had no intentions of marching north until your declaration, but they most certainly will if it is not withdrawn. The Musketeers cannot stand up to LotC as long as they have Eagle support.

If your declaration is withdrawn, provided your troops have not yet committed acts of war against LotC, perhaps a large scale Provinian war may be avoided.

The only reason Plato/IC wants you in this war is because LotC has Plato on the ropes on Camaris. Your attack might force a LotC withdrawl.

Please, withdraw your declaration of war before it is too late, and remove the Plato/IC vipers who are giving you dangerous counsel.

Lord Maltar, don't mistake all your new enemies for Eagle members. It's just that you have a lot of new enemies. Time for Eagle to go recruiting more allies. Thanks for your assistance.

The Traveller has returned...

Well its the mysterious traveller again... I have neglected my duties and I have forgotten to mail in my latest report....

A couple of weeks ago I again met up with other members of the famed world of olympia....

This time the meeting place was London in England.

Some of the most influential and powerful leaders of olympia were there....including the mighty Codric. (Rumour has it that a mage has give him a magic weapon ...now codric may be seen wielding his magical weapon powered by "Viagra")

So the first Olympian convention was held every/any pub that served such a roudy bunch...Those attending were from the States, belgium and the British Isles. More than 7 of us attended the conference.

Tales were told, friends were made and plots were hatched!!

But my friends, I must be honest...The characters I met were the most friendly I have encountered in many a day...and trust me I have travelled many lands in my years.

The idea of a larger convention was discussed. This, to me, seemed to be a wonderfull idea. So we hope to hold another meeting again in the the new year 1999. This time as so many player are from Belgium we thought it would be a good idea to hold the convention there. But this time the meeting would be thrown open to all olympians...I have made many friends in this land, and I would enjoy the opertunity to meet both my friends and enemies in the flesh.

Perhaps this convention will not happen...but I think all those interested should express and interest to the times...and just maybe there will be sufficient interest(and time to plan and save Real Life Gold) to host such a function...

My friends, (despite my girlfriends protestations about the childish nature of such a game) Olympoia is a souce of immense pleasure and joy...May it continue for many a turn...

and a game 3? Count me in.... (same rules as g2...but include rivers and the ability to build and destroy towns..)

Rich congrads on a job well done!

I will see you all soon....

The Mysterious Traveller.

This is going to hurt you more than... Hmmm, I guess that, basically, it's going to hurt you.

I smell rotting flesh...sniff sniff and...sniff...yes I smell mordekai's pet pig a roasting

SUDDEN INFLUX OF FACTS STUNS RIMMON MUSKATEERS!! Eagle Representatives Are Speechless!

In the wake of thier recent declaration of war, the RM has formally announced their surprise discovery that the Lords of the Crown were already at war. "We thought they were going to attack us. We never would have attacked them if we'd known that all those troops were meant for fighting PLATO." said Lord Foul, RM diplomat and all-around Nice Guy. "It's just too bad that we can't recall our troops, but they have orders to shoot all messengers on sight."

Oleg has reportedly claimed that PLATO never meant to attack the Lords. "Eagle brainwashed my nobles and made them attack Trullion." Further stunning revalations came from Sir Codric of the Lords of the Crown, who claimed that there were no LotC troops in the battles around Trullion. "It was all a series of sham battles set up by Eagle to make PLATO in general, and Ming the Merciless in particular, look like bad guys." Sir Codric then collapsed to the floor, like a puppet whose strings had suddenly been cut.

Other reports have reliably linked known Eagle operatives to widespread alien abductions and cattle mutilations throughout Provinia. When asked to comment, an Eagle spokesperson took poison from a hollow tooth and died foaming at the mouth.
