The Lords of Revelstone are gladdened to learn that others in the

Land and the greater lands have joined to spread the light of

learning. Again, the Lords offer their services to any who may wish

a place and means to learn rare skills, resources of the earth,

or, simply, a place of fellowship.

In this way, a new and greater Council of Lords may be founded to

spread knowledge and preserve peace.

Anyone interested should contact the Lords for travel information

or to secure reservation of facilities.

Hirebrand Tohrm [gw3c], Seneschal to the Lords

"If you think you've tried new Revelstone Orc Oil, you haven't. If

you think you've lost control of your arms and legs, that there are

rocks following you, and that someone named 'B Binky' is flashing

beams of microwave radiation onto your parents' foreheads, then you

probably have. Why not have another?"

-- Lords of Revelstone [ad4]

Does anyone know if all Cyclops require a special weapon when attacking?

--=RGS=-- ANNOUNCEMENT --=RGS=--

The Royal Geographical Society is very pleased to announce the addition of two new Charter Members: the Lords of Revelstone [ad4], who have pledged both mapping information and material assistance; and the Knights of Pervia [bk5], who have offered to undertake an RGS expedition. Welcome brothers! The Great Adventure awaits us!

The response to our earlier notices has been excellent. We wish to thank the Olympian community for its continued goodwill and support, and we promise to reply to all inquiries as quickly as possible.

THE FACTIONAL/POLITICAL MAP

We have at last completed the first version of a factional/political map of Olympia. It has been incorporated into the New Atlas, copies of which are being sent out at this time. Thank you all for your patience.

RGS EXPEDITIONS

One RGS expedition is currently underway, with two more being launched next month. A fourth is in the planning stages. We salute the courage of these hearty explorers, who have overcome the fear of the unknown and are willing to deal with danger on a daily basis.

RGS expeditions are carried out by sea, by air, and in some areas, on foot. Factions that do not wish to be visited by Society explorers should contact us at once, to avoid misunderstandings. We will respect all requests to stay clear of sensitive areas.

Someone Asked: > Is the 'Transcend death' necromancy spell worth spending a noble > point for?

Standard answer #1: It depends.

If you've got extra NP lying about unused, (and you don't want to donate them to the Answer Guy), and you have a noble with lot's of valuable skills and spells (and you don't want to donate *him* to the Answer Guy), and you think he might get killed, then it's probably worth it.

On the other hand, Using Transcend death puts you alone in Hades, which is rumored to be controlled by the AOO, who are not know for welcoming unexpected visitors. Actually, they may give your highly-skilled noble a fine welcome, and throw a dinner where he will be the Guest of Honor (and main course).

Someone Else Asked: > " a question for the answer guy, what do you find in bogs? "

Probably bog-monsters or something nasty like that. Or maybe rare foliage. My magic 8-ball keeps saying "Unclear. Ask Again later."

Yet Another Someone Asked: > "How does one get rat spiders?"

Duke Marat is rumored to keep a collection in his bed. You could try seducing him. I've heard he has a thing for Oxen.

Either that, or maybe the First Bank could procure some for you.

Still Someone Else ASked: > Is the Empire challenging the AOO for the title? > If so, who is your money on to win?

This sort of question can be very hard to answer without a vast network of operatives gathering intelligence on both sides. The Answer Guy sadly lacks such a network. Donations of nobles would be gladly accepted.

That aside, The Answer Guy has seen no evidence that anyone is ready to challenge the AOO for anything the AOO wants badly enough.

Then again, the Answer Guy has seen no evidence that anyone *isn't* ready, either.

Hey, anyone interested in infiltrating Mt. Olympia send me a secret note. I know how to get in! I moved a noble in and out of the Mountain last turn!! How about a sneak attack? Didn't see me did you?

> If I breed an Ox with the AOO ,will I get an oxymoron ?

> Well, that will certainly have Duke Marat bleeding in the > street, have you thought about actually attacking these > guys ?

I can see it now - 25 peasants attack the AOO , 5 Million dragons teleport to your party and fry them - great idea

To all c.units: STOP SHOVELING! The fertilizer is deep enough here, too.

Join the Tubular Earth Society! Olympia is a cylinder, I can prove it! Membership is limited to the first 100 factions, so hurry!

The ship moves on northward. The wind fills the sail as I sail into history. What will they think when they find my ship a thousand years from now? How did he do it? What a genious! What a fine captain!

Hey Answer Man, Are there an AOO left? And since they could easily crush us all what are they doing? Are they engaged in a civil war or something?

> "How does one get rat spiders?"

Jeer at the their surplus legs and long skinny tails - they hate that.

> When is a Noble not a Noble?

When they're a tasty snack - pass the ratspider ketchup...

Another week's research funding

Well, here are a few things I'd like to know: 1 - Flying horses.... where do you get them? 2 - How can you tell when land is controled by a droped position?

"Does anyone have an idea of when G2 will start?"

The seas are waiting a new traveller.

"To the answer guy: What good is avinia leaf and spiny root?"

The LC has fallen to a new allience! Beware the creeping horde soon to crush you too!! Don't be fooled by the peace at hand. Defend your families behind castle walls with flocks of dragons because... WAR IS COMING!!!

You know, I was going to explain all the ways that this was utterly silly and wrong (there's a mistake in every line), but what the heck, let fools learn from their errors.

Help me! I'm trapped in the Cloudlands!

What happened to the LC ? Where can us newbies go to get free castles and land now that they're gone ?

Has it ever occurred to you wonder why the LC had free castles to begin with?
