Lairs are replinished slowly, so you can't keep on getting income from
them forever. But you are right, in G1 the lairs were too lucrative to
start with, and that is another runaway situation, in which players
who got control artifacts early were able to take out many more lairs
than the ones that didn't. No doubt that's why Rich plans some
restrictions on beastmastery in G2.
