I'd have to agree that LR shouldn't be used as the ultimate coup de grace
after a successful battle but that's how it is usually wielded at this point.
I've done LR for nobles lost at sea that were buried too far away to recover
within a year though. If it is restricted it should still be possible for
me to request last rites from another faction's priest. Perhaps a "close
relative" of the deceased should be required in the temple? If the body is
in the temple then that should also be okay. Hmmm, I can just imagine the
shock and horror when a rogue priest bursts into a temple and starts last
rites the day before the resurrection ceremony is set to begin. ;>)
