Player-contributed press

Greetings Fellow Olympians,

For many Years now (Since Turn 60ish) the Bandit Lords and the Southern Ossicus Alliance have been in a state of war.

I am now proud to announce that both parties have come to a mutual agreement and peace has returned to our lands.

The Bandits Lords have always been most honourable during the war. We have both been able to forge agreements even when the fighting was at the thickest... eg. With the emergence of the movement bug both parties agreed not to use the bug in any way...to find such honour and trust in ones enemy is a rare gift.

Both the Bandit Lords and the SOA will now use the peace between us to build our friendship. A friendship that has blossemed from war is a truely special bond.

Peace and Prosperity to all.

Saggar StormChaser, Speaker of the House, Southern Ossicus Alliance.

(Lord Faramir Firestorm, peace envoy of SOA.)

-- Faramir Firestorm [8024]

My Dear Dear Fred [six seven four two]

For doing such an excellent job of patting yourself on the back. I officaly award you The Golden Poofter Award.

I know normally Bruce or his brother Bruce or his other brother Bruce and in rare ocasions his sister Chrysania issue this award. But considering in a few short turns most of the Bruce family will die at my castle site so perhaps I should issue this one.

-- Lord Foul [4172]

I have tried to contact you Nation of Egroth guy's to no avail. I am trading in your claimed lands and want to do what is right. Please contact me if you are serious about wanting these taxes.

The Bandit Lords would like to announce the signing of a cease-fire treaty with the Southern Ossican Alliance.

The war, fought for so many years, has come to a close.

In the beginning, we set down some simple rules of engagement, meant to protect both sides from various forms of treachery. Neither side has "slung mud" in the Times, nor have they felt that they were being treated unfairly (though it did occasionally seem that they were reading our turn reports or minds =).

The terms of our cease-fire are mutually equitable, and should provide a firm foundation for future relations.

As we stand down our armies, we would like to congratulate the SOA: for their honorable dealings, for their masterful tactics and intelligence, and for an enjoyable battle. They have been a worthy adversary, and we look forward to our future dealings.

Well finally. I found the mine. Or least I think it use to be the mine. It's just a big pile of rubble now. But the terrain looks familiar, so this must be it.
