Description

It is, as everyone knows, a time of turmoil.

Look outside your window, look at the news, and you might be tempted to think: "I could do better than the people currently running countries."

In World Alliances and Rivalries, well, you'll get to test that thought. It's a freeform geopolitical sim with a heavy focus on character development and storytelling, where you play the head of government of a country on the map today. Don't worry, though: On September 2nd, 2017, a butterfly will flap its wings at midnight Eastern time, causing the world of the game to diverge from the real world. Not coincidentally, we begin play approximately one minute later, and the fate of your chosen nation is in your hands. Though it helps to remember that fate, luck, other countries, and other people all have impacts too.

We play by email to keep the focus ironclad on telling stories, using a simple pair of Google Groups for posting (plus a private Discord server, optionally, for chatting on a more real-time basis).

You think you could handle the 3 AM phone calls? You think you could do better?

Prove it. Play World Alliances and Rivalries.
