Hello and Salutations to all, My name is Gregory Paladin. I am the Commanding Officer on board the Miranda-class Heavy Frigate/Destroyer, the U.S.S. Poseidon. She is an old ship, with a very direct and true purpose. Her origins came on a sad note, when her original crew fell hard to a pirate assault. She lay mothballed for near a decade until I would come along. I have been tasked with her original mission, and as she sits in the confines of Earth Spacedock being refitted, I can see she would demand a very trustworthy and capable crew. Under the authority of Rear Admiral Ra'Vesti, the U.S.S. Poseidon is directed to protect the shipping lanes of the Federation. Be it through force, or diplomacy, I and my future crew will be tasked with missions of utmost importance. Missions such as ferrying diplomats to one point or another, or protecting a fleet of freighters as they pass through known pirate space. But to do these missions, I require a good crew, a capable crew. I now present this invitation to those who read this at large. The Poseidon needs you to help protect the Federation. While she sits in drydock, now is the best time to come aboard. Establish yourself, get to know those already on, and help me make the Poseidon the greatest defender of the Federation Economy that anyone has ever known.
