DescriptionFollowing the end of the Dominion War, and the success of the Normandy-class carriers, Starfleet decided it need a new line of carrier which could perform peacetime functions while remaining a formidable vessel for war. After years of research and development, the Vikrant design was born. Only slightly smaller than the Galaxy-class, the Vikrant was nonetheless a massive craft able to fit a large number of fighters without sacrificing too much internal space, allowing it to be outfitted with an impressive number of medical and science labs, diplomatic facilities and home comforts for it's large crew compliment. Laid down in 2387, the Ticonderoga is the sixth ship of the Vikrant-class and the most recent to be launched into active service, making it one of the newest vessels in Starfleet containing some of the most advanced technology the Federation has to offer, including holographic subspace communications, holo-emitters in every room and corridor on all 20 decks, the brand new Raptor Space Superiority Starfighter and more than 20 separate laboratories dedicated to everything from medicine to astrometrics to holoprogramming. The USS Ticonderoga is a Nova-based simulation set in the prime universe in 2390 and is a member of Obsidian Fleet's Task Force 72. She is the Senior Ship of Task Group 72-A and is looking for several dedicated writers, newcomers and veterans alike, to come and join her multi-award winning crew. Currently we are recruiting several Chief of Staff positions, as well as all sorts of Assistant Chief, Enlisted and Junior Officer positions. So if you want to play any sort of character at all, from the experienced Officer with a firm grip on his profession, to grizzled veteran CPO with a chip on his shoulder, to the fresh-out-of-the-academy Ensign on his first tour of duty, we may well be the sim for you!
