Description

The `Verse was in turmoil for years, border worlds riddled with unrest and resentment as the core planets leeched their resources and gave little in return. Colonization continued, pushing the frontier further and further with promises of shiny new futures and ripe terra-formed worlds for those gullible enough to trust in the word of the Alliance. It was make-believe. Precious few flourished. More often a colony would founder early, succumbing to disease or worse, the lawless fringes of the `verse finding easy prey on new worlds unsupported, unprotected by the Alliance.

Miranda was settled barely a year ago...but they've gone silent. Another world baited then broken on empty promises.

Support for Independence built steadily, fueled by countless false assurances and negotiations that Parliament refused to take seriously, intent on controlling all worlds, uniting them under it's banner.

This year, 2506, the talking ended. Tensions finally boiled over into all out war, beginning a brutal and bloody conflict that would forever change those people and planets caught up in it's grasp. The war of Unification has begun.

About the Game:

Firefly: Going Dark is a role-play by email game which begins at the start of the Unification War and will continue through the war years and beyond. Players will sign on as either passengers or crew of the Jingwei, a Firefly Class vessel.

All characters created for the game must be original -- without connection to any of the canon characters -- and must be approved prior to joining. If you have an idea for a character that doesn't fit the traditional Firefly template then by all means, let's talk.
