Description

We are a Star Trek Play-by-Email (PBEM) Role Playing Group (RPG) that has been around since 1993. Borderlands is a writing sim, written in a narrative style. Here people from all walks of life come together to share in a fantasy experience through their common love of Star Trek. Each person assumes the identity of a character that they themselves design. Then, they immerse themselves in one of Borderlands seven unique dutystations.

In Borderlands, you can choose to become a member of Starfleet, join the Romulan Star Empire, serve aboard a civilian merchant ship, or join a rebel faction that opposes the values held by the 25th century Federation. Crew members play as part of a team in a wide range of missions, from science, to exploration, to full scale battles. All this takes place in the Delta Quadrant some 30 years after the USS Voyager's triumphant return to Earth.

Our aim is to offer our members the most realistic and exciting Play-by-Email (PBEM) experience that can be found on the internet today, while at the same time providing a friendly online community that we are all proud to be connected with. Everyone has a chance to advance to a leadership position by demonstrating dedication, good writing and teamwork skills.

We believe we offer one of the highest quality Star Trek Role Playing experiences on the Internet today. We would like to encourage you to join us right now and let Borderlands take you to "Strange New Worlds" filled with excitement, discovery, and the opportunity to grow. Here you can find new friends, improve your writing skills, bask in the Star Trek experience, and find escape from the "real world".

This is the adventure you've been waiting for!

You may ask, Why join Borderlands, When there are so many other Trek RPG's on the Internet?

First, each dutystation has a dedicated command staff that works to ensure each ship is active and fun. Second, there is no time wasted in any online Academy. You are assigned directly to an active dutystation, giving you the opportunity to get involved immediately with real storylines, and giving you the opportunity to mingle with the more experienced players quickly and with no fuss. Training is provided while you are involved with an active dutystation. What better way to learn than to "learn on the job"?

Come join the fun, the excitement, and the drama that is Star Trek: Borderlands. A world of possibilites awaits you!
