DescriptionThe year is 2407. After a long war against the Borg Collective, Starfleet has fallen back to Earth, the Federation's leaders hiding there, denying the facts in front of their eyes. The Federation is dying, choking on the smoke of an overcrowded world, its soul being consumed by fear and corruption. The Vulcans have left, and the few colonies that have been re-established are forced to fend for themselves against the new dangers of the galaxy. We stand against this tide. We cling to the old ways of Starfleet, the old values of the Federation. We obey and enforce the most central laws that formed the basis of those values - the things that make even the Prime Directive work. The Borg told us that to resist them was futile. Today, the powers that keep the Federation stagnant tell us that to try to reclaim its old ways is futile. We are here to declare the end of futility.
