Rome, 480 years after the founding. The city has grown and prospered and all of Italia has been either made into allies or subjugated by the legions. The Senate is at the height of its power, proud and wealthy. Now YOU have the chance to take the lead of a Roman patrician family and guide it to greatness: monuments will be built in your name, temples will be raised and throughout the ages, men will look back on your deeds and on the grandeur that was Rome.

Join SPQR, a forum based game with turn sheets, province management, economics, prestige, religion, warfare and roleplaying: then you, too, can pitch in and help determine the fate of the res publica (republic)! I am a GM with 7 years of experience and eagerly looking for new blood to fill in the ranks of my thinning gaming group. Your participation will be greeted warmly! Please feel free to swing by the website and join in on this exciting venture.

You'll find a welcoming group with plenty of creative opportunity and energy. The rules are simple (less than 8 pages) and intuitive. If you have a love of ancient history and Rome in particular, or you simply want to engage in some old school empire building, then this is certainly the group for you! Don't delay! :)

Played the game? You can send me comments to be placed on this page by writing lindahl@pbm.com. But don't write me attempting to join the game -- write the GM, whose address is above.

Are you the GM? You can update your listing by writing lindahl@pbm.com. If you have something new to say about your game, for example an opening for new players, you can create an announcement for your game.

Don't see your favorite game? Then you can add an entry for it.
