We wish to make it clear that in our now long ago contention with Banquos Ghost & the New Empire we found our opponents to be worthy foes, & honorable. I mispoke recently when I said otherwise (on the g-2 list). I mistook the name of the author of an insidious piece & drew the wrong conclusions.
While Plato had an honest disagreement with the New Empire & while we viewed our cause as just, we also viewed our foes as worthy & honorable.

The Bobantine Empire would like to thank all those who responded to last months posting. It is good to know that Olympia is populated with so many brave souls.
All shiping sailing in the Camarian Straits near the Provinian coast is reminded to announce their presence forwith. These waters have seen some heavy naval action and this is likely to continue. All ships should at least fly banners clearly identifying their allegiance or neutrality.
In a related notice we would like to continue our call for any ships captains to apply for Letters of Marque authourising them to take privateer action against ships of the Lords of the Crown. We will pay a bounty on all ships captured or sunk but only to ships carrying the proper Letters. And in response to enquiries yes coastal raiding is covered by the Letters. We do not encourage high seas piracy and neutral ships are not to be attacked.. Apply to myself at the address below.
The Empire is also calling for mercenary captains to particpate in the war with the Lords. The terms of the contract would depend on what nobles and troops are provided.
To the younger sons of impoverished houses why not swear alliegance and win honour glory and a fief of your own. Factions that join the Empire will be assigned independant fiefs in perpetuity if they distinguish themselves in the service of the Empire.
I must stress again that we are not suggesting this land will be taken from the Lords. We have plenty of peaceful areas that need to be settled.
We are also calling for enterprising spirits to provide us with the raw materials of war (horses, weapons, beasts, wood, iron, etc) for extremely generous prices.
There seems to be some suspicion on the part of the Lords that I reneged on a prisoner release deal. I can only say that deadlines were set for certain messages to be sent and they passed with no action on my part. I felt the deal was not consumated and acted accordingly. I am grateful for the Lords action even though they feel I tricked them. I can only swear on my honour that I planned no underhand trickery or subtefuge and was negotiating in good faith. I will not be executing any prisoners as those are not my rules of honour when fighting such a war. I hope that Sir Codric will take my word on this and continue to fight the war with honour and civility.
I think however Sir Codric has offended the Horselords by executing Pierre and not giving them the opportunity to buy the body back as is their custom. I would humbly suggest you get in touch with Khamath Horselord to discuss the matter as there is talk in Greton of Blood Feud and then things could drag on forever.

Lord Saggar would also like to announce that stacks of more than 10 fighters are prohibited on Ossicus and its surrounding waters. Such stacks will be removed without prior notice. This is to facilitate the peaceful nature of the island and to allow nobles the freedom of travel without the fear of attacks from rogue nobles.
Could ya'll publish just where this here Ossicus place is? I'd like to test this plan of yours.
The Vulture Speaks
This is getting good, fellow carrion lovers. The Harn/Codricker war is progressing nicely, and now my sources inform me that the seemingly grounded Eagles are finally going to stretch their wings and enter the war on the side of their allies. They plan to invade Harn from the west, at the same time as their ships land in the Illustrated Man's backyard. All of this may be happening even as I scribble this.
Then, it gets interesting. How do PLATO and Rimmon respond? What I hear is that PLATO will land troops on Provinia in support of Harn, while Rimmon finishes off the Codrickers from the north. Then we'll have just about every major alliance in the game fighting one another near Yellowleaf, and probably soon after on Camaris.
Whatever happens, the eating is going to be just marvelous!
