The Liberty Confederacy is being phased out, as a threat to new players and a source of cheeky rumours. Members still resisting remain welcome to discuss peace terms, and neighbours are invited to contact me for confirmation of borders under the new management.

War has a terrible beauty all its own.

Nonsense to chaos, chaos to dust. once more.

Announcing a new PBEM game! Pansies and Petunias

This is a game for all you pacifists out there. Combat between players is prohibited unless the attacker is significantly weaker than his intended target, and gives ample warning. The players give orders to their gardeners, and attempt to have the prettiest and smelliest garden in the world. There is also a special mass suicide rule which allows a player to plow under his garden along with those of his friends who wish to contribute.

Does the 'wait turn xx' command work for player entities?

Finn Finnbarra Asked: > Just a question... Is the Illustrated man still selling maps? > If not who else has nice maps... > better then the atlass of turn 55. Obviously I'll pay. :)

The Illustrated man retired. There was an announcement in "The Olympia Times", issue g1-92. At the time, it was announced that "If anyone has the Campaign Cartographer software and wishes to take over our map-selling business, email us at bglassco@mscfs.edu."

No one has announced that they are taking over the business.

Someone Asked: > "Has anyone sailed around the world?"

Yes, but it's still somewhat of a watershed accomplishment for a faction. It takes a significant amount of resources to put together such an expedition, so not everyone can do it.

Someone Else Asked: > Does anyone know where there is a better map of the world? > It's hard sailing from one end to the other without knowing > what to avoid...

See above. The best known publicly available map is the Atlas from turn 55. It's on the usual FTP sites.

Yet Another Someone Asked: > Perhaps the Answer guy can answer this: > What happens at the North and South Pole? > Is the route blocked or does it wrap round

No one has ever reported sailing north to get to the south.

-- The Answer Guy

Hey answer man... How can I learn all those magics that are not taught at any cities I come across? And where do you learn Religion?

The time of the AOO is coming to an end. The Circle of Darkness is growing slowly but surely. Run in fear little rabbits.

Hmmm. "rumor 0". Very bad thing. Tells everyone the membership of your entire faction. But thanks for the info!

Yo ho Yo ho A pirate's life for me!

Ever wonder why Nazgul, or dragons don't lower the civ of an area? I've always found peasants to be a little squeemish around undead and flying lizards. Who else thinks there are far, far to many beasties about?

Bountiful was the harvest in the land, but, alas, the grapes were sour.

So I set forth to destiny half chosen Shall it be a fugitive life on the sea Or prehaps the study of darkest magics Or perchance only death?

Do the Guardians of Light still exist?
