What is the sound of battle in the middle of a war? Do we hear the dark elves fall amidst the roar?

As the crimson mist swirled into a minute maelstrom, the blood of the unbelievers muddy the arid soil. With a violent, yet seductive quaking the pool of the newly converted was torn asunder. The foulest stench seared the minds of the most vile, as blackness seeped into the widest iris. And HE came forth...

Customer Testamonial on behalf of the First Bank of Provinia

Greetings, Provinians! My name's Jech Ercheflo the Friendly Thin Guy. I'm a Trader. I travel Provinia buying and selling and trading everything from the highest grade avinia leaf to the cheap woven baskets that I buy off of broke lowlifes in Imperial City. Provinia is not always as friendly and peaceful as me. So, I don't like carrying large amounts of cash on a trade run, if you know what I mean. That's why I bank at First Provinia: low-interest loans, high interest rates, newbie bonuses, warehouse facilities, shipping services... What else could you ask for?

So take it from me, Jech Ercheflo the Friendly Thin Guy, don't wind up lying in the gutters of Imperial City weaving baskets. Give the the First Bank of Provinia a call. You'll be glad you did.

Rumors

Time to harvest some more noble brains. (Addiction is a terrible thing.)

urchin, rendezvous at the chateau t=96

From the war diaries of Keldar, Commander 1st Air Corps

The occupation slowly grinds forward. As expected, the task of actually pacifying the region is much harder than the initial strikes. Some of the enemy have packed it in, but a few still struggle on. Word from the east is that the mage who had been taking aura blast pot-shots at our forces has been trapped, killed, and his brain eaten.

All of the known concentrations of troops have been reduced. Soon we will have to start the arduous task of identifying, finding, and clearing out all of the hidden locations to deny these mustering points to the stragglers.

The first of the new castle holders arrived this month and should soon take up residence in Chaos Wizard Central. The western third of Rimmon remains quiet, but our forces remain vigilant.

Catch as catch can...

The day of Rest [ju3] asked: > Is there really an improve ship rigging?

No, it's just an example used in the rules.

Someone Asked: > So, what is the next move of the famous fag?

Well, according to Erik the Well Read, his next move is to become part of Erik's faction, and presumably to change his evil ways.

Someone Else Asked: > Has anybody tried the Forget order ????

Yes, I believe I've heard someone mention using it to clean up his or her turn report. Got rid of the clutter that wasn't being used.

Yet Another Someone Asked: > Will this finally be the end of the Pink Scourge?

Since he's already been reincarnated once, I'm afraid we're likeley to see more pink pirates on fairy flotillas in the future. Of course, if the latest incarnation was a financial loss for his backer, perhaps he'll give up.

Last time someone said:

"Over the past few "months" since joining, I have found alliances attempting to recruit me into their fold. One offers a position as a servant, another offers a position of equality. What I am forced to ask myself, is what do I lose in the bargain. Not just what do I gain?"

I think that anyone who offers a newbie a position of equality must be stupid or have something up his sleave! Have to love those new noble points!!!

Something extremely clever, but which I'm too rushed to type.

"I need 25 gold for research, anybody know how to get them?"

No fool's gold!

Never ask a Navy man if he's had too much to drink...

Pennies for the Poor!

Money can't get everything, it's true, But what it can't get I can't use!

To c. factions: oops sorry for the confusion.

I don't want the whole world, I just want your half.

Q: How does one get gate crystals?

> "Has anybody tried the Forget order ????"

I'm not sure, I might have done...

How far do I have to travel to find some magic goodies? (And I'm not too interested in "Lollipops of Instant Death" or anything.)

"Is there any way to get a listing of all the cities?"

From Times 93: "Over the past few "months" since joining, I have found alliances attempting to recruit me into their fold. One offers a position as a servant, another offers a position of equality. What I am forced to ask myself, is what do I lose in the bargain. Not just what do I gain?

One must always wonder. While you're thinking, be sure not to let anyone take your purse!"

While you're wondering, you might wonder about what you might be serving, vs what you would be equal to. Of course, you don't have to wonder, if you decide you will likely find out for certain. As for your purse, unclaimed gold isn't going to be picked from your pocket.

Malleus Maleficarum press release 6-1-12

In comparison with the lucidity of van Gogh, which is a dynamic force, psychiatry is no better than a den of apes who are themselves obsessed and persecuted and who posses nothing to mitigate the most appalling states of anguish and human suffocation but a ridiculous terminology, worthy product of their damaged brains. -- Antonin Artaud, 1947

These other witches, too, must be tried by the Inquisitorial offices of the Witches Hammer

To g. factions: hit P. THIS COMING turn, don't forget!

Methinks that all is lost in this world, for those who refuse to recognize, the value one has in his friends, and the danger close by.
