Does anyone know about the politics of Areth Pirn? If you have any juicy gossip on who likes who and what nobles or territories to avoid, I would be interested to hear about it. If you are in Areth Pirn and looking for an honourable economic allie I would be interested in talking. Though I have no money, I do have several nobles with no existing commitments.

Persons wishing to visit must make arrangements in advance through an authorized agent. Anyone unaware of the identity of an authorized agent should contact *me* _in advance_ of their arrival. "Grrr.." growled Janet "Those punks cost my nobles a months study in Aethelarn. It would teach them a lesson if I stole *their* ship."

This is to inform the perpetually forgetful that Noren is occupied and owned. There being no legitimate accidental method of arrival on our shores (which we lack, incidently), anyone showing up without having cleared it first with me is subject to various ruthless penalties.

Your next target: General Norc

Q. What the heck does an Enchanted Staff do?

INQUIRING MINZE WANNA KNOW:

Who is this guy who keeps posting bad French poetry in the TIMES?

(And _how_ can he be stopped?!?!)

On the trail of the elves, dwarven boots lose, er, big.

Une de perdue, dix de retrouvees

The LC is the only 'good guy' Alliance in the game.

> Hmmmm.... If the SwishBuckler's actually dead & _buried_, > then doesn't that mean he can just be "resurrected"?

Not if you eat his brains, I think.

It is rumored that the Son's of Ulysses all bear a strange tatoo on their right arm, and therefore may be easily identified.

Someone Asked: > So, is it safe to sail out of the IC now, or what?

Well, it would seem that the dreaded Swishbuckler is no more, but before he was rampaging, there were tumors of barriors in the channel, causing havoc to shipping. Of course, this was before the AOO declared victory, so they may not be there anymore. Then again, they might.

Someone Else asked: > Hmmmm.... If the SwishBuckler's actually dead & _buried_, > then doesn't that mean he can just be "resurrected"?

There were rumors of brain-eating, so that would rule out resurrection. Of course those may just be rumors. I have a hunch that whomever took out the Swishbuckler took precautions against resurrection.

Still Someone Else asked: > So, did anything come of the AOO declaration of "victory"?

Yes, a lot of whining from all directions came of it. Also a slight decrease in the number of players. The monthly BtA rumor has also gone away.

-- The Answer Guy

another year has come, both here and in the other world

Is it true that Norc said he would rather attack than look stupid again in the Times?

It's true! The Swishbuckler is gone forever. Any imitations would be only pale copies. Ahhhh, the memories of his talented lips will be cherished! Alas, I have seen his grave and his brainless corpse. He is deeply covered by earth and lovely pink tulips.

I _still_ say the Sherrif's also a Pirate....

So what's BtA up to, now that he's under new management?

Just doing my part to answer your many questions from the latest Times.

"Finally I get a chance to practise magic in a less populated region. At least I think it is."

Optimism is a wonderful thing.

" Question: Is what is certainly about to happen to Swishie's cold little butt appropriate punishment and the judgement of a just society... or is it simply a vicious display of homophobia by those lacking a well honed and subtle sense of humor?"

Haven't we discriminated against vicious people-eating sadists long enough? Please pass the hot sauce, the creamed ratspider is a little bland. Ahh, it's so tender. You know Joe, I never noticed before now, but you look lovely in the candlelight.

"So, is it safe to sail out of the IC now, or what?"

As safe as it's ever been.

" Hmmmm.... If the SwishBuckler's actually dead & _buried_, then doesn't that mean he can just be "resurrected"?"

Yeah, I don't imagine he'll miss that brain thingee much, given how little he used it.

"My first castle is complete. Now, I can finance my growing army properly"

An army that has to be financed ain't much of an army.

-Not The Answer Guy, or Anybody Like Him.

PS. Three cheers for Amra for having the nerve to speak his mind, and the courage to admit he was wrong.

Clan With No Name, your time has come.

"Answer guy. please answer this. I'm a new player to this world and have only been playing for a few turns. the Liberty confederation has contacted me and offered me a castle in Ossicus, where ever that is? but no instructions on how to get there. how do I get there? this Norc guy seems quiet nice, but the offer seems to good to be true. Can they be trusted or will they just kill me and my nobles? (I've heard alot about 'newbie bashing') yours slightly worried

> Hmmmm.... If the SwishBuckler's actually dead & _buried_, > then doesn't that mean he can just be "resurrected"?

He'll have difficulty steering the ship now his skills have been taken by the Necromancer who ate his brain.

I might bring his special pirate hat [dk5w] to IC for auction, would anyone like a souvenir?

Differences have been spotted in FTP and email versions of the revealed truth known as the Rules.

Which is correct?

"Oh, here's that enchanted spear you wanted. Catch."

Is there anyone interested in selling a roundship?

The many who loathe the AOO are building feverishly. Castles, dragons, aura, armies. The time is coming when the AOO will be overwhelmed. Then the balance will be restored.
