I think that Rich is probably worried that this will cause him problems
with players sending abusive or unwanted mail anonymously. Of course he
could try tracking it down, but it's just one more thing to worry about.
It's also (essentially) impossible for him to verify that the mail is
from the character it purports to be from. Mail is too easily forged.
