In the cold lands of Altamira the two tribes of the bear-men have long stood at odds, but like the brothers Wavou and Wedagg neither rival would topple the other. The tribes had finally settled into a balance, with sporadic raiding interrupting the longer periods of trading between the cousins. You stand as a newly elected hunt leader for your clan, an influential position that will give you contacts with the other clans of your tribe. Coinciding with this is the arrival of news from the north. Strange looking men have been seen coming from the far north. Some stories say that they trade strange items for food before turning back north. Others say that they are far more hostile, and that they can hurtle their spears incredible distances in an attack. It will be up to you to decide how to deal with these men if you come across them on your hunts.

Objective: Players have two paths to victory. Either unify their tribe and subjugate the other to become the dominant tribe among the bear-men or unify the tribes in the joint construction of a massive complex to honor the Ancestor Spirits of the tribe and gain the eternal favor of the spirits.
