Description

Welcome to QWF, a wrestling efed and roleplay. Please feel free to create a character, familiarize yourself with our wiki, and then join our Discord! Now, you may have a couple questions, so please read the FAQ below!

What's QWF?

The QWF is an efed and fictional wrestling promotion broadcasted from Soundstage 13 in the beautiful San Fernando Valley. It's a new and relatively minor promotion, in the grand scheme of things, with its major events getting around a couple hundred people and barely ever straying outside of Southern California. Usually, QWF broadcasts on Twitch and public access television.

What's an efed?

An efed is a fictional wrestling federation where writers and wrestling fans take the role of wrestlers within a fictional (or, in some cases, real) wrestling promotion, try to win championships, cut promos, and wrestle!

How does this work?

Well, every week we have a match card arranged by our booker team, where you can get booked either to the booker's whims or, if you want to start a storyline, you can contact the mods to get you and your opponent (either a fellow wrestler or a jobber) a match to start off a storyline. Then, people promo for these matches, and following the end of the promo period, matchwriters (volunteers who are willing to write for QWF) will write out the finish and story of a match (should it not be pre-arranged). If there is no matchwriter, a booker will summarize the match (a paragraph compared to a fully-written match's pages), decide who won the match, how, how long it was, and then post it alongside the show.

How are matches decided?

For every match, we have a matchwriter, or booker, when the match is summarized instead of written, who writes out the match, the finish, and how wrestlers are portrayed, basing it off of how well the promos were written. These can't always be guaranteed, so if you want a match to go a certain way, make a storyline, where the finishes are actually predetermined, like real wrestling!

How do I join?

Great question! Join our discord and submit a sign-up sheet to our character creation thread. Then, a mod will determine whether your character is ready to go or needs some revision. Please, feel free to consult with either members of the mod team or fellow QWFers to help you make the best character possible.

Thank you, and we hope to see you in the ring!
