Description

It is 2005, August. The Hogwarts letters have been sent out and received--aren't you excited?

We are.

Unplottable takes place at Hogwarts. The Ministry of Magic still exists. Diagon Alley is still there. But who's Harry Potter? People in this roleplay don't know, and don't care. Nor do they know about Voldemort. Or Dumbldore. Or Grindelwald. None of that ever happened. The Wizarding World had little if anything to do with World War II.

So come and help us populate our new world. We have only a handful of members at the moment, but overall what we lack in people we make up for in... Charm? Daring? Freedom? Probably freedom--because there isn't any site wide plot stuff yet. No big, bad, dark wizard. No savior. No immanent darkness. Just enough structure to avoid confusion and a general timeline to keep the action rolling.

"Why?" One might ask, "Why would you ever give us that freedom?"

If by "you" you mean "you admins", the answer is because we like the setting, but honestly the characters? We think that we--and you--can to better. We think that your plots will be more enticing, more passionate, if you make them up. Do you want a big bad dark wizard? That's fine. But you're going to have to write that story. We may have a few things in mind, but we're not going to worry about that unless a player wants to run with it.

And, perhaps even more importantly, we draw from cannon--but we are not confined by it. We encourage and expect you to make stuff up. Maybe it wasn't mentioned in the books, but that's never stopped any of us, and we hope that it doesn't stop any of you, either.

So come on in and take a look around. We promise we won't bite (although I'd keep an eye on some of the wildlife.) We're a new forum ready for action, with plenty of open spots for both students and staff. We can't wait to give you the game that you want to play.

Played the game? You can send me comments to be placed on this page by writing lindahl@pbm.com. But don't write me attempting to join the game -- write the GM, whose address is above.

Are you the GM? You can update your listing by writing lindahl@pbm.com. If you have something new to say about your game, for example an opening for new players, you can create an announcement for your game.

Don't see your favorite game? Then you can add an entry for it.
