DescriptionThe current time line is 2012. And the USA is under siege from the al-Quaeda and the Chinese. They nuked Washington in 2008 and overran the United States. The few remaining citizens have formed vigilante groups. The currency are bargains, as paper money or coins are no longer in use. DC is now home to the Other side and they enforce the laws. Ariel Anderson was inside the Pentagon when the nukes hit DC and wiped out everything she loved. For years she lay hidden alone inside the belly of the Pentagon. She studied everything she could lay her hands on, and then built a miniature time machine which gives her access to backstep for a few hours in time. But science is not perfect unfortunately and on one of her backsteps she unfortunately brings back someone and he now shares her existence.
