Description

Pamela Marie Fallon is a former Hollywood actress who was popular in the 1970s until an explosion on a movie set paralyzed and deformed her and ended her career. Now in her mid-fifties, forgotten, and living a reclusive life in the mountains of Alaska, she is writing her memoirs and hiding from the outside world.

But her life changes when scientists in Los Angeles, California working for the US Government decode the DNA found in the body of an alien from another galaxy who visited Earth during the Middle Ages and manifested himself in the form of St. Germain, a mythological figure who is said to have come to Earth to spread the cause of freedom. Anyone with this DNA, dubbed "The Merlin Strain", is given the power to heal.

One of the scientists is Pamela's brother and he invites his sister to LA to see the lab. She goes and during the tour of the lab, the lab is attacked by operatives of a sinister new government of Italy and its new leader, Vittorio Bruno, who aims to reestablish the Roman Empire and sees the "The Merlin Strain" as a way to establish an invincible army to conquer the world. The new Italian government is branded "The Neo Romans".

During the attack, there is a huge explosion in the lab which releases "The Merlin Strain". Pamela is exposed to an overwhelming dose of the Strain. She is injured, but quickly recovers as the Strain has healed her injuries. Miraculously, her deformities disappear and her paralysis disappears. But that's not all.

The Strain gradually changes Pamela's body, alarming her as it reminds her of the changes Seth Brendel underwent in the movie "The Fly". The changes come to a surprising end when Pamela wakes up one morning to discover that she has been forever transformed from a middle-aged woman into a lean, fit, athletic, and incredibly youthful-looking, gorgeous, supermodelesque woman who looked to be 23. Pamela is surprised. It was the way she looked when she was in her early twenties.

Pamela also finds she is immortal and has gained both incredible superhuman powers and the ability to perform Bewitched-style witchcraft. She also has the ability to pass between dimensions. Pamela doesn't want the powers at first and regards herself as a freak, but after a good pep talk from her mother who tells her that she has her powers and immortality for a reason and that she doesn't need to give up and waste her life away like she did before. She's been given a second chance. Not only to be her old feisty self again, but also to restore her faith in herself and do good. And last but not least, let the love that lies within her to surface.

Pamela decides to use her powers to fight evil and help others. Her mother makes her a costume out of an old 1950s dress, which included a costume party mask. Pamela practices using her powers and undergoes training in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. When this is done, Pamela becomes "Supernatural, the Angel of Freedom".

Not intending to return to Alaska, Pamela sells her mountain hideaway and stays in Los Angeles. She decides to return to acting and takes Hollywood by storm, reprising some roles she had in the 1970s, including a detective role. She also becomes a pop music singer and an operative for the great Hollywood PI Ford Fairlane.

Whenever trouble rears its ugly head, Pamela ducks out of sight, smiles, and says, "Do I know you?" and does a cheerleader jump-and-skip routine to transform into Supernatural. Pamela has allies that fight alongside her against the Neo-Romans. They are: The Hollywood SuperBikers, a group of Harley-Davidson riders with superhuman and supernatural powers, the Roller Derby Force, a group of crime-fighting vigilante roller skaters, who are mutants, "Generation Y", a group of young superheroes, and the Go-Go Guys, male crime-fighting dancers who combine dancing with hand-to-hand combat.

Together they defend America and the world from the evil Italian government known as "The Neo Romans".
