Description

In 2005 an independant film studio created a prop for a sci-fi movie. The movie was a flop and the studio went bankrupt a year later. The prop however was actually something more. It turned out to be a wormhole generator that allowed access to parallel worlds.

The US military acquired the device and hooked it up to a computer to enable them to control the destination of the wormholes. They started sending teams through to other universes. They also formed a coalition of universes these universes could join. It is called the Alliance of Parallel Universes.

Over time conflict in the Alliance caused it to split in two. The universes that broke away formed a coalition called the Confederation of Worlds with Parallel Universe Technology. The Confederation and the Alliance are at war. War ranges from "cold war" to actual military conflict depending on the individual universes involved.

There is also a "neutral" universe. Earth in this universe is called Schitzocratic World. SW is the only world in both coalitions. It has two UNs because most of this world's countries have at least two governments - neither recognizing the legitimacy of the other. One UN is in favor of the Alliance, the other the Confederation.

You can be a representative of one of the many governments on Schitzocratic or you can be a representative of a world whose universe is in one of the coalitions. Do you have what it takes to make your government/world prosper or will you be relegated to a footnote in history?
