DescriptionWhen internationally-renowned Olympic athlete Amanda Bedford is attacked in New York City by a crazy fan and left for dead, she is nearly killed but survives. The attack has left her paralyzed from the neck down and unable to compete in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. But hope is not lost. Amanda comes under the care of a scientist who thinks he can help the young woman. He injects her with an experimental serum that he has been experimenting with that can supposedly regenerate the body and restore movement to paralyzed people. But the serum does a lot more than that.... When Amanda is injected, the serum not only restores her ability to walk but it also gives her superhuman strength, superhuman speed, X-ray, infrared, microscopic, and telescopic vision, great hearing, and something most humans don't have: immortality. Amanda is also given the ability to communicate telepathically. And the serum gives Amanda the power to perform any Olympic sport she wants. Amanda decides to use her abilities for good and becomes the superheroine "The Champion". She moves to Los Angeles and becomes a private detective, working for Area 51 Investigations.
