DescriptionIn the 24th Century... On the frontier of the United Federation of Planets, Starfleet Command has constructed an Immense-class space station to bring order to the volatile Jericho System. Star Station Orion is Starfleet's bastion of order deep within the political turmoil, unrest, and pirating of this region. Experienced officers are needed, but then again, the less one knows about the rampant lawlessness that exists a handfull of lightyears outside of civilized space, all the better. Green-stick recruits bent on fame and glory are either burned up like chaff in the fires of Jericho or are refined into officers of the highest caliber. Then there is the scuttlebutt of secret missions being conducted in and around Jericho. Black Operations are nothing new, but when Starfleet Officers are involved, perceptions of reality can change quickly. Flocking inward are the merchants, slave-traders, rogues, soldiers, iconoclastic mystics, scientists, and diplomats of hundreds--thousands--of races. Star Station Orion is the port of call for all of these relentless travellers. It is a way-station in the twilight zone of deep space. Our Mission: Star Trek: Starfleet Intelligence was built for the Intelligent Gamer. Our goal is character development. This is a writing ensemble made up many different types of players who all share at least an interest, if not a love, for the universe that is Star Trek. Notes: As a general rule, we try to follow the canon aspects of the Trek universe. What this means is that if you have not seen it in a Star Trek television show or movie, then it is not considered canon. Our gaming year is 2392, set ~20 years after the Dominion War. We take this into account, and allow for advancements to have occured in the gaming universe. ST:SI is a Play-by-Email Simulation. No books needed--Only your imagination. * We are about to start a new method of RP, which will allow players to use non-Starfleet characters and regular Starfleet characters alike. * We encourage players to start their own ships in our simulation, and to join the ongoing simulations. |
