DescriptionCastle Drugard…an estate shrouded in mystery and a story passed down from bards all over the Vesverian countryside. Everyone knew of Matthias Drugard, Holy Knight of the Vesverian military, champion of the crusades and a hero in his own rights. Everyone knew of his Lady Tatyana and how they loved each other dearly. And ever still, everyone knew of Matthias’ companion Count Volvas, Matthias’ sword brother of the crusades, and comrade for all time. But something went horribly awry in the Drugard estate, and after Matthias brutally murdered his wife, his wife’s servants returned the favor by killing him on the spot. Volvas arrived only moments later and condemned the servants to be hung, one by one, for the murder of Lord Matthias Drugard. Volvas could only speculate as to what exactly had happened, but he soon disappeared after the execution to leave the estate completely abandoned. But whatever happened to the immense wealth Matthias had been hording? The spoils of his numerous military victories? They had no kin, and Volvas disappeared…so where did all this treasure go? Many say the treasure remains within the estate, these many years later, awaiting adventurers to find it and claim it for themselves. But strange things have begun to happen in the Vesverian countryside, stories or strange monsters and an eerie mist flood the local taverns of the capitol city Grale. Merchants speak of shadowy figures in the windows of the abandoned castle, and wanderers offer stories of twisted beasts which roam the ever thickening mists. But bravery is a thing often offered to the foolish and greedy, and curiosity perks even the wariest of travelers when it comes to such a hushed story as is Matthias’. So now, as a traveler in Grale, having heard so many stories of Matthias’ treasure and unbound wealth hidden in the folds of his giant estate…what will you do? Will you seek the treasure that has been lost for so long? Or will you seek the truth of what really happened that night so long ago? Was Matthias really the murderer of his own beloved wife? Or was there or more foul sort of play afoot? Search the labyrinth which is the Drugard estate and seek out that giant horde of treasure, or follow the clues and unravel the mystery that is the Drugard Affair. Did Matthias truly kill his wife in cold blood? Or perhaps was it the other way around? Why were all of Matthias’ servants put to death if only a handful actually murdered him? There are too many questions here, too many stories untold. So find your path, and seek out that which tempts you most. Castle Drugard is a closed-cast RPG, meaning, there are only a limited amount of positions available. I’m looking to form two or more parties of adventurers to seek out the Castle Drugard and become ensnared in its silent secrets. This game will be entirely GM run, and the chance that characters will be injured and/or killed is quite possible. But I’m the kind of GM who likes to see all my players survive to the very end, after all, nobody likes to lose their character. ;) Any type of fantasy characters are allowed, all races and classes are open. This is a neutral fantasy setting meaning anyone can make any type of character.
