DescriptionAthean Empire - Winds of War is a fantasy role playing PbEM game based on D&D 3.5ed rules. The emphasis is on writing and roleplaying. The game is not and never hopefully will deteriorate to dungeon crawl or pure hacnslash. I enjoy creating NPCs and the world very much so I hope you'll like interacting with them as well. The story is designed so that the players may take it into ANY direction so I cannot atm say weather this is going to be game about heroes, villains or somewhere in between. The game includes many challenges and puzzles of various kinds from combat tactics to political intrigue and possibly resource and money management. Players are encouraged to make their characters as part of the world as possible. (ie: give them a profession and a job. Adverturer is not a profession) The url in the ad above is a link to the World Information. Game Background: The Baron of Marchwood is terrified and has sent a messanger to Count Allendale informing him that of 'dire peril' in his village. The exact contents of the message has been declared classified, but the magistrate and aid of Count Allendale has gathered a group of low ranking, but able people from various positions to investigate and calm the Baron for the Count for some reason does not seem to share the Baron's concern in the same way. You have been given only one mandate, directly by the Count himself: under no circumstance you are to allow the Baron to hire mercenaries and raise an army or gather an armed force in any other way, which includes sending criers to nearby towns. "The Allendale County shall not become a cesspool of sellswords under my rule" was how last sentence of the Count. Character info: Class: Any Race: Human (I might allow halfling, but send in your character concept first though) Level: 4 Starting ability points: 80 (+1 at level 4) HPs: Max at each lvl. Other: I suggest making your character sociable enough so that they are working for the feudal society in some way. That way you will have easier time to fit in and more chances for roleplaying.
