Description

Rating: TV-14 or thereabouts, probably. Adult content is not allowed, but play with depth and direction is desired.

This is an original RPG, not based on anything. Characters stolen from movies, television, and books are not allowed.

A thousand years ago on the fantasy world Hieri, humans just started waking up with wings. They believe the wings were gifts from their beloved Winged Goddess. While those with wings formed their own civilizations and had descendents with wings, people stopped just suddenly having wings. Only, now it's started again. Is it a sign of darkness on the horizon? A coincidence? You make the legend.

The Adar, the Dreigiau, and the Fae are descendents of those who were first given wings that thousand years ago. While the City Dreigiau and the City Fae still stand, the Adar are now a roaming people. They sing of their once glorious city and long for the day when it is to be rebuilt.

While the Winged Hieri have their glorious cities, the average Hieri Human has a much more rocky life. There is no strong government, only small kingdoms and city states scattered about with villages in between to get caught in the crossfire when someone decides to go a-conquering. Monsters roam the land, terrible beasts with a taste for human blood.

There are two human lines with magical abilities, those of the Magic Sight and those of the Magic Soul. Both these lines wage a battle against those monsters and all darkness in their own separate ways.

To top things off, humans from modern Earth occasionally just appear in different places on Hieri. No one quite knows why, and none of these humans knows how to get home.

The game hasn't started out yet, and there is plenty of world and plenty of directions to take the story in, all depending on the feel of the players who join.

Requirements to join group: Anyone can join. However, you will be automatically placed on moderated status in the RPG group until you have joined the OOC group, get a character approved, and post a few times in character. Posts must be clear, with generally proper grammar and spelling, and at least a solid paragraph in length. They are to be written in third person, past tense. If your posts fulfill these requirements, you will be removed from moderated status pretty quickly.

Characters: Wings RPG is an original game for original characters. This means that "canon" characters from movies, books, and television shows do not have a place in it. However, if it's hit the public domain and you can explain how it got to Hieri, you can give it a go. On the side, the only limit on number of characters is the limit you place on yourself. However, if you can't manage the characters you have, you can't keep them.

Misc: Again, the game has yet to begin. I'm waiting to get some players with characters before starting to post. This game is intended to be for role players who love to write, and meant to help in practicing world building, character building, and writing from a limited third-person perspective. It's also meant to be fun. (These things are fun for me. Serious.) While players aren't *required* to be writers, and won't be stopped from playing if they aren't, they ought to be at least slightly aware of this.
