DescriptionThe American Wrestling Alliance was opened in the end of 1999 and had its small start as all feds do when they open. The first PPV Event was Wrestlefest and from there on out, the foundation of the AWA was born. The AWA is much like any other roleplaying e-fed. We have one weekly show, Sunday Shock, and PPVs held every month or so, 9 per year. We have great talent in our federation and are sort of a little "band of brothers". We offer the ability to send in strats to further your character's goals and development and as an avenue to put your character out there and get him/her noticed. Our roster is amongst the most loyal you'll see on the internet. We have members in the AWA for 4, 5, and 6 years. There is a great amount of dedication from our members that helps keep out group knit tight. Our OOC board is a very light, humorous, and sometimes debating atmosphere. We joke, laugh, talk about wrestling, just really a place to "hang out" when we want. Our website is where it's at. We have just finished refitting our website, going through and "tidying up" the pages to make the rules and such all current and easier to read and navigate. Our website is considered to be the "OOC" part of the fed. It gets the regular OOC updates and lets our members know what's going on with shows and cards. We have an "IC" part of the website, known as AWA_Online. It is where the IC stuff happens and is the website that is referred to when brought up during our shows and roleplays. It has just re-opened and has a Shop area with all of the graphics compiled from the past two years of graphics for PPV banners and DVD covers, shirts, etc. Weekly and monthly articles will begin to be posted there that will analyze our roster and review our shows. As a fed head, I am relatively new to this. I took the AWA over from the previous fed head back in April 2006, however he still is on board as our "Senior Advisor" and he and I constantly discuss ways to improve upon the AWA and build new ideas for future events. I have a staff that's dedicated to their craft and their job descriptions. They are whom I rely upon the most in the AWA and they are always there for th support I need when I need it (and when I don't). On the average, I would invest about 4 hours a day in the AWA, whether it's judging, match writing, roleplaying, show writing, updating the site, doing graphics, posting on the OOC board, etc. The AWA has, as I said earlier, 1 weekly show called Sunday Night Shock. We have a show held once a month called Exposed which is a "magazine"/talk show (basically an all-strat show). We have 9 PPVs every year with 5 of them being our "major PPVs". Hell on Earth one of our big PPVs (1/5) is held in January and is where we hold our annual Hell Bowl, which is a match (or group of matches) that is, really, hell. You will rp against a group of people where the winner will either be the AWA World Heavyweight Champion or will get a shot at a later date. Last year (2006) we had our Hell Bowl Chamber (Elimination Chamber) where the AWA World Heavyweight Championship was defended in that match. This year (2007) we will have a Hell Bowl Lottery (Lethal Lottery) where we will "randomly" pick tag teams and pit them against other tag teams. The winning teams will enter into a battle royal until there are two participants left. Then those two will have a singles competition where only a pinfall of submission may end the match. The winner will go on to the next PPV, Vortex, to face the Champion then. Vortex is another one of our big PPVs (2/5) and is an all-gimmick PPV held in February. Each match has about 3 stipulations that our entire roster will vote on. The winning stipulations will then be announced before the match is to be wrestled. (Idea is based on Taboo Tuesday) Springs and Breaks is the next calendar PPV that takes place in March. It's a normal PPV, no strings attached. No More Drama is our next PPV. It was originally Revelations (as you might see it through the NMD paint), but we changed it as a "last minute" storyline. There's nothing special about this PPV either. Just a normal PPV. King of the Kage is our next big PPV (3/5) and is held in early summer (end of June/beginning of July). It's a tournament of 8 wrestlers and they will advance through that "Elite 8" setup DURING the PPV. The winning match is fought inside a Hell in a Cell cage and the winner advances to the next PPV to face the AWA World Heavyweight Champion. Classic is another one of our big PPVs (4/5) and is held primarily in August. Classic is our "Wrestlemania" (much like Starrcade was to WCW). It's the biggest show of the year and seems to get bigger and better each year (topping 550 kb now!!!!). Overpower is the next PPV of the year held in September. This is also just another regular PPV with nothing special really happening as in our past PPVs. Last Man Standing is the next PPV on the list and is held primarily in November. This is also just another regular PPV. Wrestlefst is the final PPV (and event) of the year and is held in December. It is also the final big PPV of our year (5/5). Wrestlefest is our anniversary show as it was the first PPV ever held by the AWA. We've just finished up with 8 and look forward to completing the next year to end with Wrestlefest IX. We have 5 titles in the AWA. AWA World Heavyweight Championship is THE title in the AWA. It's one of two openweight championships and the best in the AWA go toe to toe for this title every week. AWA United States Championship is the second of our two openweight champsionships. This is reserved mainly for mid-carders and up. AWA No Limits Championship is our unique title which is a merger of our old Television and Hardcore titles. The match rules are a combination of those title's match rules. Inside the ring is normal wrestling rules. The match can end via pinfall, submission, or DQ inside the ring (and ONLY inside the ring). The outside has hardcore rules, so you can do anything. However, you cannot score a pinfall or submission outside of the ring. AWA Cruiserweight Championship is one of two "specific" championshps and is reserved for people lower than 235 lbs (and that's a heavy cruiserweight). AWA Tag Team Championship is our second of two "specific" championships reserved for tag teams. Our Tag Team Title is vacant at this time because of the lack of tag teams, however anyone looking to apply with a tag team will get preferential treatment towards the rebuilding of that division. We also encourage that our new applicants volunteer for judging, match writing, and/or show writing. Doing these "OOC" activities will give you a broader view of the world of eWrestling and will also help you become a more well-rounded individual both as a handler and in general.
