Description

The year is 2383. With the Dominion brought to its knees, it is a time of rebuilding and a time of peace for the United Federation of Planets. But how rocky is this peace? The Dominion's allies are amassing in the Gamma Quadrant, the Cardassians have turned into a terrorist race with ships scattered across the quadrant, desperate to rebuild their empire. The Federation is in a rocky alliance with the Romulans and Klingons, but with this alliance comes a rather significant price tag: the Federation has made enemies with the enemies of their alliance-mates, since "the enemy of my friend is my enemy."

With a new era of peace with three major powers in the Alpha Quadrant, the Federation is rebuilding -- with the long-run Romulan "cold war" nearing an end, the Federation has begun to reconcentrate on the threats at hand: the ever-growing Gamma Quadrant uprisings, defending its borders from its new absorbed enemies, quelling the Cardassian rebellions and securing the peace it has worked so much towards.

Part of Starfleet solution to its newfound problems was the refitting of several Galaxy-, Nebula- and Excelsior-class starships, along with the creation of a number of new starship classes. These starships are a first line defense, and are armed to defend the Federation as necessary.

One of these such ships is the USS Helios. A refit-Galaxy class flagship, the Helios is looking for new crewmembers.. just this week we're starting a new mission -- our new website is up, and there are several key senior officer positions available.

Go to http://www.usshelios.com, and perhaps give us a shot. It doesn't cost anything to join, and the commitment is minimal (once per week, twice per week if you're a senior officer)... hope to hear from you!
