She was there at the birth of the Sitch'r, and she was there when Sidon died. Hers is a noble history, Hers is a crew of heroes. Charlemagne is her name and she is a ship of destiny. The Federation Starship Charlemagne is an Eastman Class Cruiser -- an upgrade to the more familiar Nebula Class. The ship operates in the era of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Charlemagne is attached to Starfleet's Galaxy Exploration Command. U.S.S. Charlemagne was originally created by John Kanash on the Fidonet STARTREK_RPG echomail conference. John ran into some personal trouble that required him to leave the echoes unexpectedly. At the request of his players, I took on the reigns of the game in order to keep it going. We had some trouble getting replacement players in the echo during the summer of 1996, so I moved the game here to the internet where I could actively recruit players. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/USScharlemagne/
