New London is the official online game for Visionary Entertainment's The Everlasting.
The Everlasting is a game with thirteen playable races including Vampires, Angels, Gargoyles and Godlings. You don't have to have played the game before, or even played in a forum game, as New London has been designed to be a great introduction to both The Everlasting and online gaming, and Play-by-Post (or PBP) forum-based games.
The New London game is currently played out over a Forum, you can take a look there to see the kind of things that are going on, and watch the game progressing. It also has some really great features such as an online character database (so you can submit your character sheet online), viewable character profiles (with backgrounds, descriptions and pictures of the characters) and viewable, password-protected sheets. It also has it's own system for resolving challenges that allows you to draw tarot cards and view previous draws made by other players, a database of material use can use for your characters that's been submitted by our players, a newspaper with loads of funny and informative stories about the city, and even it's very own radio station, Wirelight, that plays music to set the mood for the game, and has in-character new reports.
You can find all of this information by browsing our website through the links above, or through looking at the sitemap provided at the bottom of this page.
You don't have to know the system or buy the books to play the game, although it's suggested that you read the Basic Training File provided free of charge on the website.
After that, if you are a little confused by all the stats on the sheet, one of our Guides will happily create a character sheet for you from a character concept and/or background that you provide to them.
If you ever have any questions, feel free to email our Guides at NewLondonGuides@hotmail.com
Beneath the smoking skies of southern Louisiana, sinking slowly into the swamps and clinging desperately to the banks of the Mississippi as it rolls southwards towards New Orleans, is the crumbling Cajun city of New London. Founded on the disparate dreams of a better life by the mortals and Eldrich too young to know any better, those dreams refused to grow in the hollow earth, and New London became a city much like any other slowly being swallowed by its own desperation. Now lines are being drawn on that hollow earth and something as incomprehensible as the void and as vast as the star-scattered sky is shifting beneath its skin. The whole city shivers with its coming and, against the marshy, mist-coiled night, alliances are being formed and broken like touch-paper. Something is coming, something is stirring, but no one seems to know what it is, and all that desperation keeps on spreading like salt in the marsh-water . . .
