Description

ALIENS - Project: Dustoff is a community based around the Aliens, Predator, and Terminator genre of movies, comic books, novels, and computer games, a place for those of like mind and desire to get together and discuss those very things or to play the various games related to the genre, or both.

As far as role-playing goes, we welcome as many of this genre's gamesmasters as want to begin their own game through Project: Dustoff to do just that. The more the merrier. We support games which are a freeform story-based RPG set within the universe of the ALIENS movies. This is a free to join play-by-email/play-by-web interactive adventure, with a detailed and immersive story and background.

Player characters in Dustoff take on the role of a United States Colonial Marine, or other character archetypes from the ALIENS movies, taking part in missions as part of a Marine Strike Team. You may face situations as diverse as urban pacifications, lethal bug-hunts or corporate intrigue, and then role-play them in the same cinematic style as seen in the movies.

The game requires no prior knowledge, and is open and suitable to players of any level of experience. There are few rules to learn and no dice to roll. Game play is achieved through description-based actions submitted to a moderated freeform role-playing forum. All that is required of you is the gift to spin an entertaining yarn, add to a narrative, and be part of a team. Oh, and have fun of course!

If you loved the ALIEN movies and wished you could be a Colonial Marine, this is the game for you!

Project: Dustoff is recruiting players and gamemasters for our next Colonial Marines Strike Team mission. Interested parties (and lurkers) are welcome to visit the Web links provided.
