The Terran Fringe is a new SF PBeM RPG campaign based on the excellent 1980s SPI game Universe. You do not need to have a copy of the rules to play, but we can set you up with places to download them as well as an online character generator. The goal of the campaign is to emphasize story-telling and role-playing with the rules as a means to resolve uncertainties but not as a cage.

The action takes place in the 24th Century, a few decades after humans have made first contact with the alien shapeshifting Sh'k'tpl and begun trade and diplomacy. Newer players will need to play humans, though more experienced Universe players may try a Sh'k'tpl if they so choose. The campaign begins in the Gateway star system where all trade ships leave for and come from Sh'k'tpl space. As contact is a relatively recent occurence, this is still an underpopulated system which the Federation has yet to fully bring under control.

As of this writing, we currently have three committed players and are looking for up to three more.
