Description

Stargate Command: RPG is the largest Stargate SG-1 PBEM on the internet. Started in January 2000, we have over 110 members spread across 20 field teams, the SGC Base Staff and the Quantum Colony. Play an original character set in the Stargate SG-1 universe, where the teams go on missions exploring the galaxy, getting into trouble, getting *out* of trouble and having fun all the while.

Each team is separate from the others, but with room to interact, allowing every single player to be a 'major character' in the team storylines, unlike the 'bridge officer/junior officer' nature of Star Trek. Every player contributes to the story. Every player has a chance to make a difference. We're a community group, not a group that is run by a select few who dictate the storyline to the rest of the group. Every player is known by the other members of the group - no more getting lost in the crowd.

We're the second-longest running Stargate SIM out there. Our focus is on character development and fun and we have a dedicated group of players who are there to do some long-term writing, rather than short-term come-and-go style.

We're currently looking for people - either experienced or new to this - who are looking for a community based game where egos are not welcome and where the primary key to success is team work, dedication and above all - fun. Come and enjoy a science fiction game that has the structure that bulletin board games lack...and lacks the ego and self-centricism that most games possess these days.

There are many open positions, including those on established and new teams - command, science, cultural, combat and alien specialists. If you're an experienced gamer and are interested in commanding a team, send in a CO's application and we'll see what we can do.

Played the game? You can send me comments to be placed on this page by writing lindahl@pbm.com. But don't write me attempting to join the game -- write the GM, whose address is above.

Are you the GM? You can update your listing by writing lindahl@pbm.com. If you have something new to say about your game, for example an opening for new players, you can create an announcement for your game.

Don't see your favorite game? Then you can add an entry for it.
