Calamia... a world of vast beauty, unimagined splendor and mysticism, also harbors deep shadows and age old scars. Once ravaged and nearly destroyed by the forces of Israidius in ages long past, Calamia is not unfamiliar with the perils and hardships of war. It has been over three thousand years since the war of Daishevar. Kingdoms have arose to great glory, many still standing strong today, while others fell to ash with the passing of time. The races of Calamia had forgotten the darkness that nearly consumed them all… until now. Once again the Israidians have returned, bringing destruction and chaos in their wake. War between the realms has begun once again. Yet the Israidians are not the only enemies here, the world harboring many age old secrets that are yet to be revealed. A new age, the Demonic Renaissance, has begun. This is the Dark World RPG. Where will you be? What part shall you play? The Dark World RPG is an original creation free-form fantasy role playing game run in a by-post story format. We are a fully moderated group with an active GM team who are constantly at work helping players and creating game content. GM’s are available daily, either by email or messengers. Established in 2001 we have been running for over seven years now. Players can participate in the immersive main story arc with room for sub plots and player driven threads. There are also smaller plot lines for less intense game play and more character development, such as our Rothain Hill thread. Our game can suit an array of writing tastes, such as drama, horror, adventure, comedy, romance and more. We strive for a fun gaming experience that is dynamic, friendly, and continuously evolving. We are looking for creative, dedicated, mature writers who work well with others writing in a story format. All players should have a firm understanding of English and willingness to compromise with GM’s on character designs, so that your character can fit into the game world. Must be able and, more importantly, willing to post at least once a week as stated in the rules. We are an active gaming group so please do not apply if you cannot comply with our rules.
