>Grazi! So, I was meaning to write you this week to find out what the
>status of the dance tent is. What's going on? If nothing, when might
>we reasonably expect to know something?

Well, at the November meeting I was told we were having one - 40x60, same size
as the Performing Arts tent. It will be out on or near the Pennsic Services
block. I have been told "they" are looking into a wooden floor for it. I
will schedule most of the dance classes in it with the exception of Rosina's
classes, since I know she wants more room than 60'.

The tent will be lit, but I doubt it will have risers. Folk can use it for
dancing during Courts. Any "official" ball can go in the Barn but it will
need to be after a Court. You all can take your pick... Tues: Aethelmearc;
Wed: East; Thurs: Middle. Friday will be Great Court, and it could conceivably
go then, although it may be a bit late in the War. Also, if someone wants to
do a ???? (what was that period-type ball called?) as a class, it could be
scheduled in the Barn. I am expecting Atlantia to do another Children's Fete
which will take up most of a day. There also will probably be at least one
Auction. So, any Barn-specific requests should come in early. Would you want
to post this to the dancers' list? I am guessing that the best day for classes
there would be Monday afternoon (after Opening Ceremonies), Wednesday morning,
and possibly Tues afternoon, if the instructor didn't mind the A&S Exhibition
going on at the same time.

Anything else I should be considering? Wish we could clone the Barn!
