Actually, I noticed that after the fireworks display was over, about 100+
more people showed up to dance, and then danced for the rest of the evening. I
mean, there were so many dancers on the floor for petits vriens that there
really was hardly space to breath, let alone move. I have heard a runour that
there will be no fireworks display next year, also. The students in my ball-prep
classes all agreed that having the ball Friday was much better than Monday
because then they had more time to actually learn the dances for the Ball, and I
personally liked the reduced crowd. It meant that there was actually a
semblance of space for dancing some of the dances, and that eye contact was
possible even during separation sequences of certain dances. Personally, I much
preferred having the Ball Friday...(but then, you could probably tell that by the
above commentary... :-)

p.s.I vote for Lyev as next year's organizer!
