In an ideal world that would be great, but we just don't have the manpower
to run dance in two locations at the same time (as this year showed quite
nociticably). I'd really enjoy having, say a night of open dancing in the
barn while a more focused party is going on in the tent. But we were very
hard pressed to have people coordinate evening dancing (thanks again for
volunteering!), having dance in two locations at once would mean twice as
many coordinators. Although we have a truly awesome collection of musicians
and music coordinators, I'm not sure if there are enough for two
simultaneous bands on the same night.

But to answer your question, certainly having dance of some sort going on
each evening is a bare minimum. One thing that seemed to work was having an
early short ball (1.5 hours or so, 6:30-8:00pm or so) in the tent, and then
normal evening dance at 9pm (in either tent or barn). People then had the
option of doing both on the same night.

What did people think of that arrangement?
