Ack, that's not good. Would it help to officially have a person as
"designated Saturday clean up?" That is to say, someone to be the last one
to turn out the lights on the way out.

Thanks again for doing this! Might there be anyone in the barony who'd have
a basement/shed that we could ask to store them?

Were these "loose flyers in the tent" or "flyers posted in the barn and
elsewhere"? I tried to take care of the latter (at least all the ones I put
up), and I'm guilty of a few of the former (unless someone else made up a
Bouffons handout...)

Possibly next year I could bring a pouch marked "leave your extra handouts
here for all to take".

I think there was some ambiguity on this. If we really could go until 1am,
that would be fantastic (see previous post). Of course, if the dance tent
was actually considered "quiet camping zone" then that would put a dampener
on things. Heck, Wolgemut didn't *start* their concert in the adjacent tent
until 10pm...

That sounds great.

Would the bandshell be something like that -- sheets on hinges that
accordian out to form a shell?

Please, as I said before, you've done fantastic service to the dancers for
many, many years! I hardly consider how much you did this year as "taking
it easy"! Our knees and feet appreciate you!

Along the lines of setting up a "Baroness's bedchambers" for a dance event.
Recall that the Italian sources describe period post-revels as taking place
in the nobilities bedchambers, with maybe 20 people at a time dancing. So
what we really need is to make a mock-up bedchamber for the host of the
revel, with several of her attendants/dressers ;-)

No, this wasn't inspired by you finding a bed in the dance tent....

There are two good options -- if they're willing to change the date of
their party, then there's no reason they can't have the dance tent on a
night that open dance is in the barn. Or even have the barn and have open
dancing in the tent. Thursday is likely to be another long court night, and
whatever open dancing will depend on if the Pennsic ball is on Friday or
Tuesday next year. Of course, if the focus of the ball will be dancing,
then there's no reason it can't be scheduled for a night in the tent just
like the other dance parties. Thoughts anyone?
