How about scheduling the dance parties during the day instead of at night?
Like how the Carosos' are.
If they stay during the night, I think we should limit the number of dance
parties because we don't have enough of a population to support both the
barn and the dance tent. It also confuses people as to which place to go to
for dancing. I also notice that during the specialized parties nights, the
dancing tends to end much earlier. Like when the organizers are done,
leaving only a few die-harders pattering about the tent (and having to deal
with complaints about being noisy and people trying to sleep.)
Lowrie.
>For other nights, we need to think about how we can avoid having
>specialized dance tent activities kill Barn dancing. We have two
>fairly broad themed parties this year (the English Revel, and the
>pre-1600 dance) and at least two narrow themes (another Real Caroso,
>and a 15th century dance). I don't think the last 2 will last more
>than 1.5-2 hours.
