As designer of the floor and originator of the parquet plan, i can say
that my intent was not in fact to ever have any colors that were not
in the original "wood tone" pallet. (BTW their is a "chip sample" in
one of the green buckets... if we ever have to get more paint, we
should take this chip sample and colormatch....)

There was also a perhaps not as well promoted design request that the
parquet design play off of a 3d effect.  Several of the squares do
not, and they typically are the ones i don't like as much.
I blame myself for not emphasizing that request.

I'd like to avoid any personal heraldry.  I would love, on the
other hand, to have a full kingdom heraldry.  Group heraldry could be
ok as well.  We already have examples of a few.  If the design could
somehow work the 3D effect into it, then all the better (The
heralds might disagree since in their scheme of thinking this would
make the charges look fimbriated).  The design should be a "straight
line" version if possible.  No curves.

I also find that hugh swaths of a single color to be a bit
displeasing.... but that's my personal bias.

We bought and have in stock graining tools... if we had more time last
year we would have used them...  they are in the "paint bin".  It'll
take some practice to get a good look I think.

Having our own trailer makes getting things out at war practice
feasible....although the weather more often than not sucks.
If we are going to do this, i have the paint, and if i'm not going to
WP then arrangements will have to be made for it's delivery/pickup.
