Thank YOu Gregory for answering my question about how the Dance
coordinator for a given year is determined. If I'm understanding correctly,
the ultimate decision is now up to the A&S coordinator (should he or she
choose to exercise that right). So if we have any serious nominations for
the position or reservations about specific nominations, we should direct
them to Dame Catriona or her successor?

To clarify (in case there was any confusion), I wasn't actually suggesting
that we vote on minor positions, in fact I'm not sure we need more than a
few major volunteers at this point (coordinators for floor, classes, evening
dance, ball, etc. some or all of which duties may be assumed by the
overall coordinator). The plan described above sounds sensible. I just
wanted to have the decision making process out in the open. Which it
wasn't before but which it is now. Anyone who feels things should be
done differently is now armed with the information to suggest alternatives.

Sure did. And he made it sound to the populace like it was a planned
transition.
