And my 16th c. beginners class too. I'm pretty much willing to teach
anything I know or can reasonably learn between then and now, but I DO
need to know SOON what those dances should be so that I can prepare
handouts. One thing that I think is a very bad idea is to not have any idea
what the 16th c. ball dances will be until the very last minute because then
those of us who plan our classes in advance will be put in the awkward
position of going ahead with what we have prepared (which will not be
danced) or having a less well prepared course than we would like,
potentially without handouts (which I consider essential).

I believe I privately e-mailed Greg a list of likely candidates for inclusion
on
the ball list based on my own experiences at previous pennsics, in the
middle, in calontir, in the east, and in atlantia and I can try to recreate it
if
other folks think its a good idea to do a group brainstorming session on
the list.
