would be nice to have Vilanella, which is simple, and I can get sheet
music for it, but no one's teaching it. Ideally we'd also have a
published, redistributable reconstruction.
When 15th century Italian started getting 5 dances at the ball, it was
fairly obvious which dances to pick. But this year, only 1 of the 5
15c Italian dances is being taught in a class. Whoops. Fortunately
they're pretty well established, and of course they'll appear in the
ball prep class. >>
This is why we have the Ball Prep classes, which I am teaching. Simple
dances like Villanella and Bizzaria and Lo Spagnoletto I can definitely teach
at the Ball prep, and of course I always cover the 15th c. stuff in the Ball
prep classes.
I also offered to teach a topical beginner 16th c. Italian dance class...
