pennsicdance: SCA choreographies - appropriate where & when?

Shouldn't they go with the dances of the same style?  That is, if you
create a new dance in the style of Domenico or Arbeau or Playford, and
you aren't wildly off in your authenticity (i.e. it's a real attempt at
a real dance, and not a modern spoof or something like that), I would
think it would be appropriate to do it during the times when those other
dances are being done.  If, on the other hand, you create a Korabushka
variant or a modern dance, I'd think you should save it for the GOOPs.
